A widely circulated video has captured Wing Commander Namansh Syal in his final moments before the tragic Tejas aircraft crash at the Dubai Air Show 2025. The clip shows the pilot interacting calmly and confidently
with defence officials, smiling as he prepared for the sortie that would turn fatal.Syal, a resident of Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district, was participating in an aerial display when the indigenous Tejas fighter aircraft went down and burst into flames in front of a large crowd. The Indian Air Force confirmed his death on Friday, announcing that a court of inquiry has been ordered to determine the cause of the accident. "An IAF Tejas aircraft met with an accident during an aerial display at the Dubai Air Show today. The pilot sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Indian Air Force deeply regrets the loss of life and stands firmly with the bereaved family in this time of grief. A court of inquiry is being constituted to ascertain the cause of the accident," the Indian Air Force said in an official statement, adding that investigators will examine all circumstances leading to the crash during the high-profile international air show.
