Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) on Monday announced that the second phase of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls will be conducted across 12 states and Union Territories. According to the ECI, the voter-lists in these participating states and UTs will be frozen as of midnight tonight, to mark the cut-off point for any additions or deletions. The drive follows the successful completion of the first phase in Bihar, which, according to the ECI concluded with zero appeals filed.

Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, announcing the next phase, said, "Phase two of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will be held in 12 states and Union Territories. In the states where SIR will be conducted, electoral rolls will be frozen at midnight tonight.
