Bridge Collapses in J&K’s Bantalab, Labourers Feared Trapped

under-construction portion of a bridge collapsed in Jammu and Kashmir's Bantalab-Thathar area on Friday (May 1). According to authorities, several labourers are reported to be trapped there. The bridge collapsed onto workers who were engaged in the construction of a new bridge at the site. According to initial information, four labourers have been trapped under the debris after the old structure gave way. Panic gripped the area immediately after the incident.A large-scale rescue operation is currently underway to pull out the trapped workers from beneath the collapsed bridge.
