Israel has expressed solidarity with India following the deadly blast near Delhi's Red Fort, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu conveying his condolences to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people of India. Delhi Red Fort Blast

A car explosion outside the Red Fort in Delhi killed twelve people and injured dozens of others on Monday evening. The explosion, which took place at 6.52 pm, also led to nearby vehicles being engulfed in flames.The police said a slow-moving car had stopped at a red light just outside the Red Fort metro station before the blast. The blast was so powerful that it shattered the windows of vehicles parked several metres away. The sound was heard as far as ITO, a few kilometres from the spot.Investigators believe it might have been a Fidayeen (suicide) attack. They suspect that the mastermind, Dr Umar Un Nabi, may have driven the car near the RedFollowing the blast, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has constituted a "dedicated and comprehensive" investigation team to probe the recent Delhi car blast incident--a terrorist attack executed by a Jaish-e-Mohammad module unearthed by Indian agencies, top sources said.(With agency inputs)
