J&K’s Kwar Power Project Engulfed in Flames, Blaze Reported at TRT Tunnel

A major fire was reported on Monday from the under-construction 540 MW Kwar Power Project in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district. According to sources, the blaze broke out inside the TRT (Tunnel River

Tailrace) tunnel. The cause was later traced to a dumper that had suddenly caught fire while operating inside the tunnel.Emergency teams and project personnel acted quickly and the fire was brought under control before it could spread further. Authorities confirmed that all workers present inside the tunnel were safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
