Karnataka's Chief Minister-designate DK Shivakumar is set to be sworn in on June 3 at 4.05 pm. The oath-taking ceremony is expected to be a low-key affair amid concerns over potential traffic congestion in Bengaluru due to the anticipated arrival of Congress workers and supporters from across the state. The development comes after days of speculation over the date of the swearing-in ceremony. Sources informed that Shivakumar finalised the June 3 date after consulting his astrologer Bellur Dwarakanath. Following his astrologer's suggestions, Shivakumar decided to take oath at 4:05 pm on June 3 as the date and the time were labelled as "shubh muhurat" (auspicious time) for the oath-taking ceremony. While preparations are underway, the Congress leadership
is reportedly keen to keep the event relatively restrained to minimise disruption in Bengaluru. The police have also drawn up a massive security plan for the Chief Minister’s oath-taking ceremony at Lok Bhavan.
