The NEET 2026 examination has come under scrutiny after allegations surfaced that several questions in the test matched those circulated in a guess paper distributed in Sikar a day before the exam. The controversy has triggered a high-level investigation by Rajasthan’s Special Operations Group (SOG), which has made significant claims in its ongoing investigation.According to SOG officials, a sample paper related to the exam was allegedly sold for lakhs of rupees. The agency further claimed that nearly 140 questions from the sample paper matched the actual NEET question paper.Investigators also stated that the questions that appeared in the examination were the same as those circulated in the sample paper. The SOG has added that the sample paper was reportedly
brought to Sikar from Kerala, suggesting a wider interstate link in the suspected paper leak network.Additional DGP (SOG) Vishal Bansal told TOI that investigators found a set of over 400 questions circulated days before the exam, with over 100 biology and chemistry questions showing “striking similarities” to those asked in NEET. Bansal described it as a “guess paper” or test series.
