Better Coordination With RSS In Every State, More Participation Of Women And Youth On Agenda At BJP Meet

To evolve a system for better coordination with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), ensuring better participation of women and youth in the organisation, were some of the tasks that have been handed over to senior party leaders when they sat for a marathon meeting in the National Capital. The focus was also on adequate participation of SC and ST in the functioning of the organisation. "There is a system that needs to be evolved where every month a day needs to be decided from top leadership to bottom to meet people from organisations having the same thoughts on matters like RSS," added the source. Sources claimed that this is the beginning of a new system being devised for newer ways of the party. "This is the first meeting in such a series. Three to four meetings are to be planned in this series," stated the source. Sambit Patra, national spokesperson, said that there were discussions that took place on 12 years of the Narendra Modi government, organisational expansion, grassroots strengthening, and future initiatives aimed at broadening the party's outreach across sections of society. Patra also mentioned that a major transformation in the BJP is expected as part of its ongoing expansion. Deliberations took place on how to bring more youth into the party fold and give impetus to women empowerment along with SC/ST.
