Patna's streets were electrified on Sunday evening as Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a grand roadshow through the city. Flanked by JD(U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Singh 'Lalan', BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal,
and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, the Prime Minister waved to cheering crowds from Dinkar Golumbar, marking a show of strength for the NDA ahead of the Bihar elections.A huge number of people gathered to catch a glimpse of Modi, who is touring the state to campaign for the assembly elections. The PM waved his hands at the crowd gathered on both sides of the road and atop buildings as his vehicle passed through city roads.The roadshow will conclude at Udyog Bhavan near Gandhi Maidan, after passing through Nala Road, Thakurwadi, and Bakarganj. Following his roadshow, the PM will visit the Patna Sahib Gurudwara.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Friday released its joint manifesto for next month's high-stakes assembly elections in Bihar. The NDA's manifesto places strong emphasis on employment generation and women's empowerment. It promises jobs for one crore youth and financial assistance of up to Rs 2 lakh for women to help create at least one crore 'Lakhpati Didis'.Infrastructure and education also feature prominently in the manifesto, which pledges metro rail projects in four additional cities, seven new international airports, and the development of seven expressways and 10 industrial parks across the state.The assembly elections will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11. The results will be declared on November 14.
