Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited a tea garden in the poll-bound Assam, plucked tea leaves and interacted with garden workers, in a reach out bid ahead of the Assembly election in the state. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, PM Modi wrote, "Tea is the soul of Assam! The tea from here has made its way across the world. This morning in Dibrugarh, I went to a tea garden and interacted with women working here. It was a very memorable experience."
PM Modi is on a day-long visit to the state to address two campaign rallies for BJP candidates. "We are very proud of the efforts of each and every tea garden family. Their hard work and perseverance have enhanced Assam’s pride," the PM said on X after visiting the Manohari Tea Estate.Modi was seen plucking tea leaves with a group of women attired in traditional white and red bordered sarees. ''The plucking of tea leaves was followed by the women talking about their culture and of course, a selfie!" he said in another post on the social media platform. The PM shared some photographs on social media, stating that these are some glimpses from a tea garden in Dibrugarh.
