Amid all this, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall alert across multiple states for April 14, 15, 16, and 17.Kerala WeatherKerala is bracing for heavy rainfall over all four days — April 14, 15, 16, and 17. The IMD has also warned of strong winds and lightning in several parts of the state during this period.
Residents are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.Karnataka WeatherKarnataka, too, is seeing a marked change in weather conditions. The IMD has forecast heavy cloud cover across the state from April 14 to 17, accompanied by warnings of strong winds, dust storms, and lightning in several districts.Heavy Rain Alert Across StatesBeyond Kerala and Karnataka, the IMD has issued heavy rain alerts for a wide stretch of the country covering Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mahe, Puducherry, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Karaikal, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, and Nagaland — all between April 14 and 17. Strong winds, dust storms, lightning, and hailstorms are possible in isolated districts across these regions during this period.
