Pradesh: Three people, including the daughter of former Madhya Pradesh home minister and sitting Rajpur MLA Bala Bachchan, were killed in a road accident near Indore in the early hours of Friday, police said.The accident took place near the Ralamandal area on the Tejaji Nagar bypass, under the jurisdiction of Tejaji Nagar police station. According to police, a car collided with a truck, leading to the fatal incident.Tejaji Nagar police station in-charge Devendra Markam said the crash occurred in the early morning hours and was severe in impact.Victims identifiedThose who died on the spot have been identified as:
- Prerna Bachchan, daughter of former state home minister Bala Bachchan
- Man Sandhu
- Prakhar
Another woman who was travelling in the car sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to a hospital, police said.Police officials said the exact cause of the accident is yet to be determined. The truck driver involved in the collision has been taken into custody for questioning as part of the investigation.Senior district administration and police officials reached the accident spot soon after the incident to assess the situation. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath and Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar expressed grief over the tragic incident, offering condolences to the bereaved families.Authorities said more information will be shared once the investigation progresses.
