A sixth-month-old boy, who was born after a 10-year wait, died after allegedly falling ill due to contaminated drinking water in Indore, according to a TOI report. The infant's family has been left devastated,
with the chief minister announcing a compensation of Rs 2 lakh for the families of the deceased.The family said that the boy developed diarrhoea on December 26 and was taken to a local doctor, who prescribed medicines. He was later brought back home and was stable for two days.On the night of December 29, the boy suddenly developed a high fever, started vomiting and later died at home, TOI reported.Sunil Sahu, father of the child, told the ANI news agency that his son was born 10 years ago and died after returning from the hospital."He had diarrhoea and fever. We took him to the doctor. The doctor gave him medicine. We brought him home. Suddenly, at night, he developed a very high fever. He vomited, and he died at home on the 29th. I have a daughter, and this son was born 10 years later. He was 6 months old," he said.
