Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), key Mahagathbandhan alliance partner, a day after witnessing a crushing defeat in the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, made an "Ups and Downs" remark on the poll debacle,
saying public service is an unceasing process, an endless journey, with no sorrow in defeat and no arrogance in victory.After the election defeat, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tejashwi Yadav-led RJD in its first reaction posted on X, "Public service is an unceasing process, an endless journey! Ups and downs are inevitable in it. No sorrow in defeat, no arrogance in victory!"
The RJD further stated that they are the party of the poor and will continue to raise their voice for them.

Mahagathbandhan's Rout in Bihar Election 2025
Tejashwi Yadav's party seat tally slipped to 24 from 75 (in 2020 when it emerged as the single largest party) in the Bihar assembly polls, the results of which were declared on November 14.The ruling NDA decimated the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ in Bihar to retain power, reaffirming Prime Minister Narendra Modi's popularity and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's enduring appeal, and dealing a body blow to the Congress and ally RJD.The NDA's 'tsunami' swept away the Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, with the BJP emerging as the single-largest party with 89 seats, and the Janata Dal (United) finishing a close second with 85.
