What Happened Outside Khan Sir's Coaching Institute?
According to police, the incident involved an assault in which the coaching centre's security guard sustained injuries. While the exact sequence of events remains under investigation, the episode caused panic in the Musallahpur Haat area, known for its concentration of coaching institutes and students.Police teams were deployed immediately after reports of firing surfaced. Authorities have begun recording statements from the injured guard as well as local residents who may have witnessed the incident.Speaking about the case, SP Kartikeya K Sharma said, "This is a case involving physical assault. It has been reported that the guard sustained injuries; therefore, further action is being taken by recording his statement as well as the statements of the local people. The injured individual is currently undergoing treatment."Patna SSP Kartikey K Sharma later said investigators are working to identify those responsible."Police are currently identifying the suspects...Verification is being done through investigation. The people involved will be identified. Whoever is involved in this, action will be taken against all of them," he said.So far, police have neither named any suspects nor officially established the motive behind the attack.
Why Khan Sir Suspects a Conspiracy
Following the incident, Khan Sir suggested that the attack may be linked to resentment over his institute's popularity, affordable fees and academic success."... The main issue seems to be why we are teaching for such low fees. Why are we getting such massive results? We appeal to the administration to keep security concerns in mind, recognising that the poor, too, have the right to an education. When results are produced in the thousands, certain anti-social elements tend to feel threatened. They think they can suppress us," he said. The educator went a step further by alleging that individuals associated with a nearby coaching institute were behind the attack. According to him, the attackers vandalised the office before opening fire."The attackers completely vandalized the office and opened fire... The CCTV footage has been handed over to the authorities. Our security guard has also identified the perpetrators--it is the people from the nearby coaching center. We need protection; this is a matter for the administration to handle... It is obvious to everyone that the nearby coaching institute is behind this. They have even given the statements mentioning that they will blow up Khan Sir's coaching center..." Khan Sir alleged. He said CCTV footage has already been submitted to the authorities and demanded security protection for the institute. While Khan Sir has publicly linked the incident to a possible rivalry with a neighbouring coaching centre, police have not confirmed any such connection. Investigators are currently examining all available evidence, including CCTV footage and witness accounts, and have said action will be taken against anyone found responsible. This is not the first time Khan Sir has found himself at the centre of a security-related controversy. The educator has previously stated that his coaching premises were targeted in a crude bomb attack, which he attributed to local anti-social elements and business rivalries. He also made headlines during student-led protests in Patna over alleged examination irregularities in late 2024 and early 2025. During the agitation, Khan Sir was briefly detained by police and later required medical attention after reportedly suffering from dehydration and exhaustion.
