Congress Names 7 Candidates For Rajya Sabha Polls, Renominates Mallikarjun Kharge

Congress party on Thursday nominated seven candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections, to be held on June 18. The party has renominated party chief Mallikarjun Kharge from Karnataka.The party has nominated three candidates from Karnataka including Mallikarjun Kharge, Pawan Khera, Mansoor Ali Khan; Meenakshi Natarahan from Madhya Pradesh; Neeraj Dangi from Rajasthan, Praveen Chakravarty from Tamil Nadu; and Pranav Jha from Jharkhand."The Congress President, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge, has approved the candidature of the following persons as Congress candidates to contest the biennial/bye-elections to the Council of States from the states mentioned," Venugopal said.The last date for filing of nominations is June 8.
