New Delhi: The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) on Monday made a big claim that discussions are currently underway with the government. The announcement in this regard was made by CJP's national spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka while addressing protesters during a protest march. Earlier in the day, the satirical party had also claimed the Delhi Police told them that the government wanted to have dialogue with protesters, ahead of its proposed 'Sansad Chalo' protest march. The CJP had further claimed that from day 1 it was open of a dialogue with the government. Notably, thousands of protesters gathered outside the rear gate of Jantar Mantar on Monday morning ahead of the CJP's proposed 'Chalo Sansad' march, with security being intensified across the area.Even
as Delhi Police maintained that no protesters would be allowed beyond the Kerala Bhawan barricades, the CJP claimed police officials had conveyed that the government may be open to dialogue if the protesters were also willing to engage. Meanwhile, a massive crowd of students and youth carrying portraits of Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar marched from Connaught Place (CP) Circle to the Jantar Mantar protest site, despite attempts by police to stop their movement.According to senior Delhi Police sources, no march will be permitted beyond the barricading near Kerala Bhawan, and protesters will not be allowed to proceed towards Parliament."The maximum limit is up to Kerala Bhawan. No one will be allowed to go beyond this barricading," police sources said.
