After Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri was allegedly mentioned in the email threads linked to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, BJP's Information & Technology in-charge, Amit Malviya, put out a post on social
media platform X. In his post on Thursday, Malviya stated that Puri's mention in the email chain was in reference to the "many big people from all over the world" who were in town for the Climate Conference that year. The email chain is from when Puri was India's then-ambassador to the UN, he said."Read the entire email thread and you'll see there is no reference whatsoever to anyone being supplied with girls — nothing in the conversation even points in that direction. Epstein is writing to Kathryn Ruemmler, then White House Counsel in the Obama Administration, saying “don’t even remind me of girls (which was my old bad habit)” because the week is “very, very busy in New York” with “many big people from all over the world” in town for the Climate Conference," said Malviya."He then randomly name-drops people — Gordon Brown (UK PM), President of Mongolia, Peter Thiel, Jabor (Qatar), Sultan (UAE), without any context or connection. He even misspells Puri as “puree” (like tomato puree!) — likely referring to India’s then Ambassador to the UN, simply to show that “people from all over the world” were in the city," he explained.
