The impact of the blast that took place in a lane near the Nalagarh police station was so strong that the windows of nearby buildings were broken, the report said. The loud sound of it was heard from a distance of up to 400-500 metres, locals said.Even 16 mm-thick glasses broke, and everything shook, an eyewitness, who was sitting nearby, said. Police swung into action and barricaded the area. Officials said a forensic team has reached the spot to collect samples.No casualty was reported, officials said, adding that an investigation is underway to identify the cause of the blast.Further details are awaited.Last week, a balloon gas cylinder blast left two persons dead in Mysuru. The death toll in the blast that occurred near Mysuru palace on Thursday rose to two, after a woman injured in the incident succumbed to her injuries on Friday.According to officials, a balloon vendor who was killed instantaneously in the incident has been identified as Saleem from Uttar Pradesh. Among the four who were injured, one was a woman identified as Manjula, a native of Nanjangud taluk of Mysuru district.The National Investigation Agency (NIA) team has joined the probe and is gathering information about the incident and collecting materials needed for the investigation from the spot.
