Bypoll Results 2025: Results of the Assembly bypolls Election 2025 across eight key constituencies — Budgam, Nagrota, Anta, Ghatsila, Jubilee Hills, Tarn Taran, Dampa, and Nuapada — that went to polls on November 11 have been declared.The bypolls, held on November 11, 2025, simultaneously with the second and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Election 2025, spanned six states and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir. They were necessitated to fill vacant seats. Here’s the full list of constituencies that went to the bypolls along with their election results.
Jammu & Kashmir
- Budgam | Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Aga Syed Muntazir Mehdi has won the election against Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Aga Syed Mahmood Al-Mosavi by a margin of 4478 votes.
- Over 50 per cent of the electorate exercised their franchise in the bypoll on November 11.
- Nagrota | The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Devyani Rana retains Nagrota, carries forward father's legacy, defeating Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) candidate Harsh Dev Singh by a margin of 24,647 votes.
Telangana’s
- Jubilee Hills | Congress candidate V Naveen Yadav who maintained his lead from the very early trends since the counting began, has won his seat against BRS rival Maganti Sunitha by a marging of 24,729 votes.
Rajasthan’s
- Anta | Congress candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya who was leading on the seat since the counting of votes began at 8 AM, has won the contest by a margin of 15612 votes against BJP's Morpal Sugam.
- When the counting began earlier in the day, Bhaya was leading against Independent candidate Naresh Meena on the second spot, and Morpal Saman, was in the third position.
Jharkhand
- Ghatsila | JMM candidate Somesh Chandra Soren won the by-election to Ghatshila assembly constituency in Jharkhand by a margin of 38,524 votes, an election official said.
- The JMM candidate secured 1,04,794 votes, while his nearest rival Babu Lal Soren of the BJP bagged 66,270 votes after all 20 rounds of counting, the official said.
- JLKM candidate Ramdas Murmu was in the third position with 11,542 votes.
Punjab’s
- Tarn Taran | Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Harmeet Singh Sandhu has won the election against his nearest rival and Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Sukhwinder Kaur Randhawa from the Tarn Taran assembly segment in Punjab.
- Sandhu secured a total of 42,649 votes and defeated Sukhvinder Kaur by a margin of 12,091 votes.
Mizoram’s
- Dampa | Mizoram's opposition MNF retains Dampa assembly seat, R Lalthangliana wins bypoll by 562 votes.
Odisha’s
- Nuapada | BJP candidate Jay Dholakia won the Nuapada assembly bypoll in Odisha by a margin of 83,748 votes defeating his nearest Congress rival Ghasiram Majhi, election officials said.
- The state's main opposition, BJD, which had won the seat in the 2024 elections, was pushed to the third position.
- While Dholakia secured 1,23,869 votes (58.27 pc votes), his nearest rival, Congress candidate Ghasiram Majhi, managed 40,121 (18.88 pc).
- Snehangini Chhuria of the BJD secured 38,408 votes (18.06 pc) against the party’s 33.65 per cent votes in 2024 elections.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Dholakia for winning the bypoll.
