Mumbai: In a major boost to the efforts of Cine Artists Welfare Trust (CAWT), Maharashtra BJP PresidentRavindra Chavan made a major announcement to donate one acre of his land to senior artists. This he announced after a meeting with members of Cine Artists Welfare Trust in order to address the problems of senior artists in the acting field. At an event held in Mumbai, Ravindra Chavan praised the work being done by the Cine Artists Welfare Trust, stating that many senior artists face neglect and hardship after their fame fades. In such a situation, CAWT's efforts are highly commendable. During the event, Ravindra Chavan also inaugurated a special plaque honoring these legendary artists.On this occasion, he stated that approximately 9,000 to 10,000 senior artists in the state are still grappling with numerous problems.
