New Delhi: Goa nightclub fire victim Bhavana Joshi, whose husband was killed in the deadly inferno, said that the fire occurred where the fire guns were being shot. Initially it was a small spark that turned into flames within minutes. Bhavana flagged the issue of having only one exit adding had there been more, people would have been alive.Recalling the tragedy that killed her husband, Bhavana Joshi said her husband was trying to pacify the crowd when she came out because of a pressure as people were pushing from behind as the door got blocked.She said her husband was trying to calm the people there and telling them not to panic, just slowly slowly move out. Multiple Exits Would Have Saved Lives, Says Victim

Bhavana said that there was no other exit adding had there been more, people would have lived. "People ran towards the kitchen to use that exit but it was closed from outside,” she said.She mentioned that no one there helped her, she was crying to the government officials but no one helped.Further narrating the deadly incident, Bhavana said that she was with her husband and three sisters. "There was another group of two who had one person trapped in but no one helped."

“The owners knew they were wrong that is why they ran. They had not put emergency doors, fire extinguishers no provision to control fire,” Bhavana added.“It started with a minor fire but the staff did not know what to do. My husband died due to inhalation of smoke,” she said.Bhavana Joshi has demanded strict action against the perpetrators saying, “Many lives have been lost.”“People don’t go there to die, they go for enjoyment but no one understands that and everyone just wants to earn money,” she said.

Where Are 'Birch By Romeo Lane' Owners

The Interpol has issued a Blue Notice against Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of a Goa nightclub, who are believed to have fled to Thailand just hours after a Saturday blaze claimed 25 lives, while the Goa Police put out a Look Out Circular against another set of owners.The LOC was issued against Ajay Gupta and Surinder Kumar Khosla, a British citizen, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Varsha Sharma told reporters.Saurabh Luthra and Gaurav Luthra, the two primary owners of the nightclub, are believed to have fled to Phuket in Thailand following the Saturday night tragedy at ‘Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub in Arpora.Two days after the horrific tragedy, state authorities on Tuesday demolished a beach shack illegally constructed by the Luthras in Vagator area, and appointed a fire safety audit panel for tourist establishments.
