For the grand and divine organization of the 2027 Kumbh, the Chief Minister held a meeting with the Acharyas and saints of the Akharas.For the first time, a meeting regarding the preparations for Kumbh was
held on the banks of the Ganga.The Chief Minister announced the important bathing dates for Kumbh 2027.Saints appreciated the efforts made by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami for the preservation of culture.Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday held a meeting on the banks of River Ganga in Haridwar with the Acharyas and saints of all 13 Akharas regarding the grand preparations for the 2027 Haridwar Kumbh. This is the first time that such a meeting has been organized on the Ganga ghat for the Kumbh preparations. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also announced the important bathing dates for Kumbh 2027.He announced the bathing dates as follows:* 14 January 2027 – Makar Sankranti* 06 February 2027 – Mauni Amavasya* 11 February 2027 – Basant Panchami* 20 February 2027 – Magh Purnima* 06 March 2027 – Mahashivratri (Amrit Snan)* 08 March 2027 – Phalgun Amavasya (Amrit Snan)* 07 April 2027 – Nav Samvatsar (New Year)* 14 April 2027 – Mesh Sankranti (Amrit Snan)* 15 April 2027 – Shriram Navami* 20 April 2027 – Chaitra PurnimaThe Chief Minister sought suggestions and guidance from the Acharyas for the successful organization of Kumbh. He said that in all decisions related to the Kumbh, the traditions, requirements, and conveniences of the saints would be given the highest priority. He added that it was his privilege to receive the blessings and guidance of the saint community for the smooth and grand organization of the Kumbh. Without the inspiration, suggestions, and blessings of the saints, the completion of this mega event is unimaginable. The aim is to make the preparations for Kumbh 2027 more extensive, systematic, and aligned with the expectations of the saint community.The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has called for establishing Devbhoomi Uttarakhand as the spiritual capital of the world. Carrying this vision forward, the state government is fully committed to making Kumbh 2027 grand, divine, and historic. He recalled that the Kumbh held in 2021 was organized only for a short duration due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and even the Shahi Snan was conducted symbolically. However, the 2027 Haridwar Kumbh will be historic and significant in many ways. The number of devotees expected this time will be several times more than those in the 2010 and 2021 Kumbhs. The state government has already begun large-scale preparations to make Haridwar Kumbh 2027 divine, grand, and safe. Full coordination has been established with state and central security agencies for the safety of devotees and saints.The Chief Minister said that the Police, NDRF, PAC, Health Department, and Fire Department—along with all concerned agencies—will ensure all possible measures regarding safety. Considering past incidents during previous Kumbh melas, preparations for crowd management, traffic arrangements, and emergency response have been initiated in advance. Officials who have previously managed Kumbh melas successfully will also be consulted to ensure smooth and systematic operations. Special teams will be formed for the cleanliness of the city and ghat areas, with special focus on waste management, drainage, and environmental protection.The Acharyas and saints of the Akharas appreciated the steps taken by Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami for the preservation of culture in the state. They assured that the saint community would extend full cooperation to the state government for the grand and divine organization of the Kumbh.
