Rourkela, Odisha: A small aircraft crashed near Jalda A Block in the Raghunathpali area of Rourkela, Odisha on Saturday, January 10. According to initial reports, six people were injured in the accident.According to the state's Transport Minister, the aircraft was a nine-seater and was en route from Bhubaneswar to Rourkela. The plane crashed after flying for approximately 10 kilometres.Following the incident, the injured were rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA), which confirmed the crash landing, said the pilot, soon after noticing a technical snag in the system, tried to land it on the belly, seeing a grassland,
saving all the passengers, although he himself sustained injuries. The severity of his injuries is not yet known.Odisha Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena said that, "The pilot made a crash landing in an empty field 10 km before the runway. All six people on board, including the four passengers, are safe. The pilot and co-pilot survived. One pilot sustained injuries. The plane tilted slightly downwards. The fuselage suffered minor damage, but the wings are intact. An investigation will be conducted soon."The aircraft, which operates under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), is a nine-seater, and seven people, including the pilot, were on board.(This is a breaking news.
