At a time when a high-level probe in Ayodhya's Ram Temple embezzlement of funds case is underway, allegations of alleged donation theft have surfaced in the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). Issuing a statement on the matter, Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) Chairman Hemant Dwivedi stated that the allegations circulating on social media regarding the alleged misappropriation of offerings and donations at Shri Badrinath Dham have been taken with the utmost seriousness.He said that orders have been issued to constitute an inquiry committee to conduct an impartial and fact-based investigation into the matter, and explanations have been sought from the concerned employees.If any staff member is found guilty upon completion
of the inquiry, strict and appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the rules, BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi said.
Dwivedi on Claims That A BKTC Employee Is His Personal Secretary
Dwivedi also clarified that the employee being referred to on social media as his "personal secretary" is not his personal secretary.The individual is a regular government employee of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee and has previously served as a Personal Assistant to three former BKTC Chairmen.He added that if the allegations circulating on social media are found to be true during the investigation, stringent action will be taken against those responsible.

Dwivedi stressed that the temple committee has taken the allegations circulating on social media seriously and ordered the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate the matter.

BKTC CEO Urges People To Refrain From Spreading Unverified Allegations
BKTC Chief Executive Officer Sohan Singh Rangad mentioned that the inquiry committee will submit its report based on available evidence, CCTV footage, and statements from the parties concerned.Rangad stated that if any irregularities come to light, legal and departmental action will be taken against the guilty under the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee Act, 1939, and the employee conduct rules.He appealed to the public to refrain from spreading any unverified or misleading allegations until the investigation is concluded.
