In a significant step towards preserving the sacred heritage and identity of the Shree Jagannath Temple, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has achieved another major milestone.SJTA Chief Administrator Arabinda Padhee announced that five trademark applications associated with Lord Jagannath have successfully cleared the second stage of examination by the Trademark Registry and have been approved for publication in the upcoming Trademark Journal.The approved trademarks include 'Jagannath Dham,' 'Shrikshetra,' 'Mahaprasad,' 'Nilachakra,' and 'Koili Baikuntha'—all deeply connected with the religious traditions, history, and spiritual identity of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.According to Arabinda Padhee, the approval marks a significant achievement
in safeguarding the temple's sacred legacy. Once the trademark registration process is completed, these revered names will receive stronger legal protection against unauthorized use, misleading representations, and commercial exploitation.The initiative is aimed at preserving the sanctity of Lord Jagannath's cultural and religious heritage while ensuring that these sacred names are not misused for commercial purposes without authorization.Sharing the update on social media platform X, the SJTA Chief Administrator described the development as another important success in protecting the temple's rich traditions, heritage, and global spiritual identity.The move has been widely welcomed by devotees and heritage enthusiasts, who see it as a crucial step in preserving the legacy of one of India's most revered pilgrimage sites for future generations.
