Committed to making Uttar Pradesh a 'model state', Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's government is continuously working towards strengthening and modernizing the state's transport infrastructure to realize
the goals of Vision 2047. Under the 'Viksit Uttar Pradesh' vision, the government's primary focus is on strengthening regional connectivity infrastructure and ensuring last-mile connectivity, so that cities, towns, and industrial areas of the state can be provided with fast, safe, and world-class transport facilities. The state government is preparing a comprehensive blueprint to make travel between urban areas faster and easier through a high-speed transport network. This includes focusing on the development of a high-speed rail network to connect major cities and economic centres. A work plan is being prepared on how to systematically establish this network across more than a thousand kilometres in the state, keeping future needs in mind. The realization of this network will not only reduce travel time but also facilitate people's movement and give a new impetus to economic activities. The blueprint being prepared for the expansion and comprehensive transformation of the state's urban areas also includes strengthening the regional transport system.According to the plan, work is underway on developing a work plan for strengthening the regional transport system in the state, keeping in mind the development of a transport network extending over approximately 1500 kilometres. A work plan is also being prepared for the construction of various orbital corridors, which will help in improving connectivity between cities and reduce traffic congestion in urban areas. These corridors will strengthen the state's economy by connecting industrial areas, logistics hubs, and urban centres. In this regard, focus is also being placed on intercity hyperloop, the operation and expansion of metro rail projects in major cities of the state, and the expansion of the water metro network.Improved regional connectivity will give a new direction to trade and industry in the state. The development of various corridors and transportation networks will provide industries with easy access to raw materials, markets, and manpower. This will not only boost investment in the state but also create new employment opportunities. The Yogi Adityanath government believes that a strong transportation infrastructure is the backbone of economic development. Therefore, work is underway on developing a comprehensive action plan to ensure that these schemes are implemented in a manner that meets the future needs. The state government's strategy is not limited to large transportation networks; last-mile connectivity is being given top priority, keeping in mind the daily needs of ordinary citizens. Emphasis is being placed on developing transportation options to connect regional transport systems with urban and semi-urban areas, ensuring seamless access for people from their homes to workplaces, markets, and other essential services. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has a clear vision that the overall development of the state is not possible without a strong, safe, and modern transportation system.Keeping Vision 2047 in mind, work is underway to develop regional connectivity and last-mile connectivity in an integrated manner. Through these efforts, concrete steps are being taken to establish Uttar Pradesh as a strong and developed state, not only on the national level but also on the global map.
