Putting their educational qualifications to full use, the Delhi Terror Module behind the Red-Fort Blast searched pan-india for a little-known but lethal chemical to carry out the blast with maximum impact... one such chemical was coated Titanium Anode — a specialised electrode used in the electrolysis process that the accused needed for their chemistry experiments at Al Falah University. As per their own revelations during interrogation by NIA, the accused revealed that the electrolysis process was carried at the flat of Umer in Al Falah University for making chlorates and perchlorates from common salt solution, a technique that Dr Umer had learnt in his research. These chlorates and perchlorates are explosive substances which are normally used in fireworks
and the accused used it for blast to kill innocents on the streets of the national capital. In concealing their identity also they put their knowledge of the modern-tech at full use... First they created a fake identity under a hindu nickname Rahul Bhat and then took every care to conceal it."Dr Umer had created a fake identity using the above number in the name of 'Mr Rahul Bhat' on the India Mart commercial platform, and posted his 'Product of Interest' as 'Fertiliser bag, Acetone solvent, Anode, chemicals etc.' He contacted the Mumbai shop owner in August 2024, paid Rs. 25,000 through PhonePe. The shopkeeper dispatched the anode through a Courier company to a delivery address that was just outside Al Falah University from where Umer collected the Anode. Dr Umer, using the identity Rahul Bhat, subsequently negotiated for ten more anodes, but the deal could not materialise due to the busting of the terror module AGuH Interim," the NIA said in its chargesheet, accessed by TimesNowNews.Com. "The accused took extreme precaution in avoiding online and financial trail while procuring these items. Although it was Dr Umer who purchased the anode, the buyer name on the challan and mobile number mentioned was that of someone else. The SIM card used for procuring MMO Anode was taken on somebody else’s identity but was actually used by Dr Umer for making online purchases," the agency said. The accused - Umer and Muzammil - had also "searched for and located a shop in Ahmedabad selling a chemical salt used to make the high explosive Erythritol Tetranitrate (ETN).""They left Al Falah on the evening of Friday, 11th April 2025, in Umar's red EcoSport. They reached Ahmedabad around noon on 12th April, hunted through 2–3 shops earlier identified by Umar, and discovered the listings were permanently closed. They offered prayers at a nearby mosque and drove back to Al Falah, arriving on 13th April around noon. Muzammil later admitted he had seen the same chemical salt in Umer's room while shifting materials from Umar's flat to the rented house at Khori Jamalpur, Faridabad. Technical analysis places the geo location of Muzammil at Nuh on 11th April and at Cloth Market, Kalupur on 12th April, and back at Al Falah on 13th April. Similarly, Umar's location, follows the same pattern," the chargesheet said.
