The Indian Railways has advised passengers to refrain from hazardous behaviour inside trains after a video surfaced showing a woman cooking noodles in an AC compartment using an electric kettle. In the
video, the woman can be seen preparing noodles on her berth with the kettle, which she had connected to the power socket available inside coaches. These sockets, provided on most berths across compartments, are meant for phone charging. It appeared she was recording the act for her channel or reel, as she spoke about a quick noodle hack. After the incident was flagged, Railway authorities stated that action was being initiated against the channel and the individual concerned. The Central Railways took to X, formerly Twitter, to issue a note reminding passengers that such acts are prohibited, illegal, and punishable offences. They warned that cooking inside trains could lead to fire hazards, endangering both the individual and fellow passengers.
