Mishap At Jammu Railway Station: CISF Jawan Suffers Injuries In Accidental Firing

CISF jawan was injured at the Jammu Railway Station on Tuesday after his service rifle accidentally went off while he was waiting for a train.According to news agency PTI, the incident occurred when the CISF personnel was at the railway station awaiting a train for deployment on Amarnath yatra duties.The injured jawan was immediately taken to the hospital and was provided medical assistance. No other person was injured in the incident, officials said.Police have taken cognisance of the matter and initiated proceedings as per law.Further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accidental discharge of the weapon.
