The flag will be raised atop a shikhar built in the traditional Nagara architectural style.The surrounding 800-metre Parkota, a circumambulatory enclosure designed in South Indian architecture, highlights the temple’s diverse influences, the PMO said. The flag is meant to convey dignity, unity and cultural continuity, reflecting the ideals of Ram Rajya.

Modi’s Temple Visits and Ceremonial ScheduleDuring his visit, Modi will stop at the Saptmandir complex, which includes temples dedicated to Maharshi Vashishtha, Maharshi Vishwamitra, Maharshi Agastya, Maharshi Valmiki, Devi Ahilya, Nishadraj Guha and Mata Shabari.He will then visit the Sheshavtar Mandir and offer prayers at the Mata Annapurna temple. This will be followed by darshan and pooja at the Ram Darbar Garbh Grah and later at the Ram Lalla Garbh Grah, the PMO said.Around noon, Modi will ceremonially hoist the saffron flag on the Ram Mandir shikhar and address a gathering. The ceremony coincides with the auspicious Panchami date of Shukla Paksha in the month of Margashirsha, aligning with Shri Ram and Sita’s Vivah Panchami. The day also marks the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur, who meditated in Ayodhya in the 17th century.

Cultural and Architectural Features of the TempleThe main shrine’s outer walls display 87 carved stone episodes from the Valmiki Ramayana, while 79 bronze-cast cultural scenes are placed along the enclosure walls. These elements aim to offer visitors a deeper understanding of Lord Ram’s life and India’s cultural heritage, according to the PMO.
Security Tightened Ahead of PM’s VisitUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday reviewed preparations on-site and instructed officials to ensure smooth arrangements.State officials said 6,970 security personnel, including ATS commandos, NSG snipers, cyber teams and technical units, have been deployed across Ayodhya. Anti-drone systems and advanced monitoring tools are operational in and around the temple.Senior police officials are supervising coordination, while teams handling crowd control, security screening, explosives detection and emergency response have been stationed at key points. Bomb squads, dog squads, fire units, rapid-response teams and VVIP security groups are also active, the government statement said.
