Goa Nightclub Owners Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra Flee to Thailand - How CBI Interpol Division Can Help

New Delhi: Goa nightclub owners -- Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra -- wanted in connection with the fire tragedy that claimed 25 lives at the pub, have fled to Thailand, prompting police to seek the help of Interpol to trace them, officials said on Monday.According to sources, the Luthra brother — Saurabh and Gaurav — took a flight from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.However, at the time of the deadly fire tragedy, both the brothers were in Delhi. But after the tragic incident came to light, they planned to escape to Phuket.Giving an update on the investigation so far in the Goa nightclub fire, the police said that after registering the FIR, they moved swiftly and despatched a team to Delhi to conduct raid on the addresses of the accused

Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra.Since they were not available, a notice under appropriate sections of law was issued to them. By December 7 evening, a Look out Circular (LOC) was issued against both of them by the Bureau of Immigration (BoI).Further, the Bureau of Immigration at Mumbai was contacted and it was found that both the accused had taken fled to Thailand in 6E 1073 flight to Phuket at 5.30 am on December 7. This means that immediately after the fire incident, which claimed 25 lives, both Luthra brothers fled to Thailand. This shows their intent to avoid police investigation.In addition to this, the Goa police has taken further steps to coordinate with the Interpol Division of CBI to apprehend both Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra at the earliest.As shared earlier, the police apprehended one Bharat Kohli from Delhi and obtained his transit remand for bringing him to Goa for further questioning.Meanwhile, the post mortem of all the deceased has been conducted and bodies have been handed over to their families.
