After Nationwide Stir, CJP Calls For Candle March; Suspense Over Round 3 of CJP-Centre Talks

Days after calling a nationwide protest, meeting with the government and putting forward their demands, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), have now called a nationwide candle march on July 26 at 6 PM. All eyes are still on the third round of talks between the CJP delegation and Union Minister JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh. After their 2-hour long meeting at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on July 24, the CJP said that they presented 3 clear demands with the government, calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Rs. 1 crore compensation for the bereaved families of the NEET suicide victims and the quashing of all FIRs filed against student protesters at Jantar Mantar. Major protests have taken place in cities across India, like Mumbai, Patna, Bengaluru and Chennai. Even political parties have hit the streets consistently in support of the students. The opposition leaders, led by Rahul Gandhi, have carried out protest marches to Gandhi Smriti in Delhi, to express solidarity with the students. The Leader of Opposition also pointed to the injuries inflicted upon protesters due to the use of pellet guns during the July 20 protests. Addressing a press conference alongside a student who was injured during the protest, the Leader of Opposition alleged that the student was hit by pellet gun fire while participating in a peaceful demonstration carrying the Tricolour. "The government says no pellet guns were used. This is what a pellet gun injury looks like. His eye has been damaged," Rahul Gandhi said, pointing to the student's injured eye.Intensifying his attack on the government, he also targeted Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, saying, "Dharmendra Pradhan is a criminal Education Minister."
