Agriculture Minister Mawlawi Attaullah Omari, on his first India visit, said he felt "among his own people," declaring that "our DNA is one," echoing Indonesian President Prabowo’s recent remarks on shared civilisational roots with India."This is my first trip to India. From the very first day I landed in India, I received a warm welcome from the Indian government, the Minister of External Affairs, and everyone I met. It feels as if I am among my own people...It feels like our own country, and as you mentioned, our DNA is one..." Afghanistan's Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlawi Attaullah Omari, said, as quoted by ANI.
"This warm welcome that we have received is a source of hope for the people of Afghanistan. The hospitality I have experienced is not only for me; it represents a welcome extended to our people. It brings hope for the betterment and future development of Afghanistan..." he added.Earlier this week, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto said that he has Indian DNA as he called on his people to learn from the experience of India.Speaking at an Indian diaspora event in Jakarta attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and top Indonesian ministers, President Prabowo said, "Just before I made my state visit to India, I had a what is called a genome sequencing test. I tested my DNA and I found out I had Indian DNA.""And that's why I think every time I hear some music, especially Indian music, I find my body moving. My ministers, my generals, they all like to dance. They all like to sing. Maybe most of them have Indian DNA," he said in a lighter note.
