From ISRO Satellites To Strike Planning: Rajnath Singh Releases 28-Minute Documentary On Operation Sindoor

Jaipur: Defence Ministry Rajnath Singh on Thursday (May 7) released a documentary film on the first anniversary of Operation SIndoor. The 28-minute-long documentary was released during the Joint Commanders’ Conference in Jaipur. The YouTube link of the video was shared by the official X handle of the Integrated Defence Staff. The 28-minute documentary gives insights about India’s military operation against terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK). It also highlights interesting aspects of Operation Sindoor.

Thedocumentary shows how the satellites of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in Operation Sindoor are used in locating the targets across the border. It also gives details about the complexity involved during the planning phase of India’s military operation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi could also be in the documentary, giving a free hand to the Indian Defence Forces.The video began with the striking words, “A Nation’s Resolve,” appearing on screen.

India’s Operation Sindoor inflicted significant damage on terror infrastructure and military assets across the border, with officials indicating that multiple high-value targets were neutralised in a calibrated and precise response.Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, during a press conference on Thursday, said, "We struck and decimated their 9 terrorist camps on 7th May. The proof is there for everybody to see. We struck 11 of their airfields. We destroyed 13 of their aircraft either on the ground or in the air, including one high-value airborne asset at a record distance of 300 kilometres plus..."As part of the Operation Sindoor, India carried out airstrikes on nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating at least 100 terrorists.Also Read: Operation Sindoor, One Year Later: How a Honeymoon Photograph of Himanshi Narwal Became a Symbol an Entire Nation CarriesThe strikes at the terror camps included the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) headquarters at Bahawalpur, the Lashkar-e-Taiba's base at Muridke and terrorist infrastructure in Mehmoona Joya in Sialkot, Sawai Nala and Syed Na Bilal in Muzaffarabad, Gulpur and Abbas in Kotli, Barnala in Bhimber, and Sarjal.The action triggered a rapid escalation in tensions with Pakistan launching retaliatory strikes on military and civilian sites, which were thwarted by the Indian military.The hostilities ended with an understanding on halting the military actions on May 10 following talks over the hotline between army officials of the two sides.

Following the three-day conflict, India said that it will not tolerate any nuclear blackmail by Islamabad. "Operation Sindoor is India's policy against terrorism. This operation has drawn a new line, it is the new normal," Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an address to the nation last year.
