A few months ago, a Good Samaritan named Bryan was driving through Alabama on his way to a search-and-rescue training course when his lifesaving skills were put to the test in a real-world scenario.
While cruising through a wooded area, Bryan got a fleeting
glimpse of a lone puppy just off the road. So, he decided to pull over to help.
Moments later, two more puppies emerged from the brush. That's when Bryan noticed a box.
Rescuers from Rural Animal Rescue Effort (RARE) shared footage of the moment — and what happened next:
“Bryan didn’t hesitate,” RARE wrote. “He gathered every puppy, brought them to safety, and reached out for help. These girls are only here because Bryan refused to look the other way. Fast forward a few months, and these once-abandoned puppies have blossomed into incredible dogs.”
There were seven abandoned puppies in total — and so far, all but two have found loving homes.
Lily and Rose are still waiting.
“We truly can’t say enough good things about these girls,” RARE wrote. “They are sweet, loving, playful, and simply wonderful companions.”
Had Bryan not stopped that day, the story of Lily, Rose and their littermates could have ended very differently. Instead, thanks to one stranger's decision to pull over, they all got a second chance.
