Whenever this sweet golden retriever named Noeul is around water, she simply has to take a dip. It’s been true since she was a puppy. She's an exceptionally enthusiastic swimmer.
“Noeul is a ‘water-retriever,’” her mom, Younga Song, told The Dodo. “She
wants to jump in the moment she sees water, and she refuses to come out.”
But during one recent swim, the churning and splashing of Noeul’s paws fell oddly silent.
Earlier this month, Song and her family took a trip and rented a house with a pool — much to Noeul’s delight. She, of course, hopped right in.
“She had been playing in the water nonstop from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.,” Song said. That’s when she noticed things had gone quiet.
“When I looked outside, I saw just her head bobbing there,” Song said.
Feeling some concern, Song stepped out to investigate:
Turns out, Noeul had found a way to relax without leaving the pool.
Instead of paddling endlessly, she simply stood on the pool floor and leaned comfortably against the edge.
Noeul was simply luxuriating — about which Song couldn’t help but laugh.
And with that, pool time soon came to an end …
For a moment, anyway.
