The other day, an electrical technician was called out to perform a routine inspection at a property for sale in Texas. But what happened next was anything but routine.
While preparing to examine an outdoor electrical panel, the technician from Averson Inspections suddenly found himself at the center of an unexpected animal encounter.
“We found a shocking surprise at the electrical panel today, and for once, it wasn’t electrical,” Averson Inspections wrote.

Turns out, the property’s most attentive resident was a very friendly donkey, who was eager to demand affection from the visitor with a few playful nibbles. He hadn't been prepared for that.
“We do not encounter many donkeys on the job,” a spokesperson for Averson
Inspections told The Dodo.
But the technician isn't the only visitor who's been singled out for the donkey's attention. Real estate agent Christie Minalga has met him, too, while visiting the property.
“I have met this donkey several times, and he follows you around like a dog. No matter where you go, there it is,” Minalga told The Dodo. “He always makes my day.”
Unfortunately, perhaps, for the property's future owners, its charming resident greeter isn’t part of a package deal. His favorite people refuse to part with him.
“He’s being taken with the owners [when they sell the property],” Minalga said. “He is very well loved!”
