Daisy Edgar-Jones and George MacKay were thrilled when they found out they were going on a Dodo Dream Date. The setting for their date was regal and refined in honor of their upcoming movie, “Sense and Sensibility.” When they saw their date, Dash, for the first
time, they both gasped.
“Is that even a real dog?” Daisy said in a video for The Dodo.
Dash, being cared for by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, is a Pomeranian with alopecia and only has six teeth left. He has a lot of quirks, but his dates could tell from the beginning that he was the sweetest little guy.
“If we can vouch for this wee fella,” George said. “I mean, he’s just got the most lovely sensibility. No pun intended.”
Dash sat on George and Daisy’s laps while the pair answered questions, and also presented their furry friend with treats and toys. They chatted about what the perfect day with Dash would look like, and Daisy talked about her favorite types of dogs, all tiny ones just like Dash.
“But I have to say, I’m quite fond of this wee fella,” Daisy said.
Dash continued to be thrilled to be there, munching on snacks and investigating toys. His dates talked some more about working on “Sense and Sensibility” and what Jane Austen’s works have meant to them over the years.
Before Dash arrived, Vienna, a canine cast member from “Sense and Sensibility,” stopped by to help make a care package for Dash to take with him to his future forever home. She was not as helpful as she was supposed to be, but everyone had a blast getting her input anyway.
Dash was a big fan of the basket and even allowed Daisy to dress him in a little bandana she found inside. Overall, the trio had the best time on their date, and the actors wished Dash well on his journey to finding a home.
Dash has since found his forever home, and he’s being loved and pampered the way he deserves.
