When Lady first arrived at RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch, her fur was badly matted and overgrown. Her rescuers got to work giving her an extensive grooming session to reveal her face and help her feel so much better. It’s a process they’ve done many times
before, but this time the results were much different.
Lady’s haircut didn’t just reveal an adorable face — it also uncovered the most stunning eyelashes they’d ever seen.
Underneath her overgrown coat, Lady was hiding a set of eyelashes that the models of the world would love to acquire. They perfectly framed her face and gave her such a unique look, and no one could believe she’d been hiding them under there all along.
“We’re sure it won’t take much fluttering of those eye lashes to land herself a wonderful new home,” Kate McCulloch, dog welfare manager at RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch, said in a press release.
Despite her catwalk-worthy look, Lady was a bit shy when she was first rescued. She was placed in a foster home, where she could decompress, and slowly started to come out of her shell.
“With those she knows and trusts, Lady is incredibly affectionate,” McCulloch said. “She loves to cuddle day and night, both on the sofa and in bed and is such an affectionate girl.”
Lady would do best in a quieter, adult-only home where she can be the only pet and thus the center of her family’s world. She takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she knows you, she’ll love you forever.
“She’s a delightful little character and we’ve had a lot of interest in her already so we’re fairly certain we’ll find her the paw-fect home of her own,” McCulloch said.
Lady initially got lots of attention because of her eyelashes, and now she’s hoping to use it to land herself the best forever family.
