Skokie's Backlot Bash festival is set to return from August 22 to 24, offering a variety of entertainment and activities. The Backlot Dash 5K Run/Walk registration is available online, with race-day registration starting at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday. Additional activities include a movie marathon at the Skokie Public Library and the Skokie Heritage Museum open for visitors. Food vendors will offer diverse options, and the Skokie Farmer's Market will relocate to Oakton Street on Sunday. Entrance to the festival is free, but VIP tickets are available for purchase.
