Rita Guttilla, a beloved member of the Chicago community, passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on August 15, 2025. She was surrounded by her family at her home in Chicago. Rita was married to her late husband, Nicholas Guttilla, for nearly 50 years and is survived by her two sons, Peter and Christopher, and her granddaughters, Gracyn and Paige. She also leaves behind her sister, Doloris Kirschbaum. Rita faced a six-month battle with cancer, demonstrating remarkable courage and grace throughout. Known for her strong will and business acumen, Rita was deeply devoted to her family and found joy in the companionship of her dogs, Lilly and Molly. Her family has requested peaceful reflection and remembrance of the moments she shared with those she touched.
