The study involved analyzing 45 videos of cockatoos dancing to music and observing six cockatoos at the Wagga Wagga Zoo in Australia. These birds demonstrated a variety of movements such as head banging, sidestepping, body rolls, and half-turns. The researchers suggest that these dance moves may be remnants of courtship rituals, repurposed for entertainment.
