Robert Francis Baader, a respected educator and family man, passed away at the age of 87. Baader was a long-time teacher at Brother Rice High School, where he served for 44 years as the It’s Academic Team Advisor, Chairman of the Social Studies Department, and Assistant Principal. He was recognized for his contributions to education with honors such as induction into the Hall of Fame of Brother Rice High School and being named Teacher of the Year. Baader also taught as an Adjunct Professor at the College of St. Francis in Joliet. He was deeply involved in community activities, including serving as a historian for the Riverdale Diamond Jubilee and participating in camping clubs. Baader is survived by his wife of 59 years, Geraldine Ruksza Baader, his children, grandchildren, and numerous other family members.
