What's Happening?
Nancy Lee Sullivan, a beloved community member and educator, passed away on August 9, 2025, after battling breast cancer and acute myelogenous leukemia. Born in Evanston, Illinois, Sullivan was deeply involved in education and charity work throughout her life. She taught at St. Athanasius grammar school in Evanston, where she set up the school's first Apple computer lab. Sullivan was also an avid golfer, winning multiple championships and hole-in-ones. Her charitable efforts included significant contributions to Boys Hope/Girls Hope of Evanston, for which she received the Heart of Gold Award, and fundraising for Loyola Academy and Christ the King School in Chicago.
