What is the story about?
An Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot dead a woman in south Minneapolis on Wednesday, the Department of Homeland Security said. The shooting occurred at East 34th Street and Portland Avenue, where federal and local law enforcement clashed with protestors for hours.

Good's family described her as compassionate, loving, and forgiving. According to her mother Donna Ganger, she was notified of the death on the morning of Wednesday.
"Renee was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. She was extremely compassionate. She’s taken care of people all her life. She was loving, forgiving and affectionate. She was an amazing human being," Ganger told the Minnesota Star Tribune.
As per Ganger, her daughter lived in the Twin Cities with her partner. An account on Instagram that appears to belong to Good defines her as a “poet and writer and wife and mom and shitty guitar strummer from Colorado; experiencing Minneapolis, MN.”
Her ex-husband, Timmy Ray Macklin Jr., passed away in 2023 at the age of 36. His father, Timmy Ray Macklin Sr., was shocked to hear the news about Good. According to Timmy Ray, Good and his son had a child who is now 6 years old. Macklin's father is seeking custody of his grandchild, stating, "There's nobody else in his life... I'll drive. I'll fly. To come and get my grandchild."
Good won the undergraduate poetry prize at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, in 2020 for "On Learning to Dissect Fetal Pigs."
According to a mini-bio on the English Department's Facebook page, Good was from Colorado Springs and co-hosted a podcast with her husband, Tim Macklin, as reported by The Minnesota Star Tribune.
