The incident occurred on British Airways flight BA274 and was captured on an automated live stream by Flightradar24. Despite the loss of the wheel during departure, the aircraft continued its journey.
The flight proceeded to London and made a safe landing, with no injuries reported.

British Airways flight BA274 departed from gate E1 and began a full-length take-off from runway 26R at 9.05 pm local time. According to Flightradar24, sparks were visible from the aircraft’s right
main landing gear around 40 seconds into the take-off roll, just as the aircraft became airborne.
As the Airbus A350-1000 climbed and the landing gear was retracted, the rear outer wheel on the right main landing gear separated from the aircraft and fell away. Flightradar24 said there were no injuries reported on the ground. The flight continued to London and completed a safe and uneventful landing at Heathrow Airport after nine hours and 17 minutes in the air.

Notably the A350-1000 is equipped with six wheels on each main landing gear, arranged in three pairs. The wheel that detached during the Las Vegas departure was the rear-most outside wheel on the right main landing gear, Flightradar24 reported.
