Brown University shooting: 2 dead, 9 injured, police hunt for shooter; campus under lockdown

At least two people died and nine other were left injured after gunman opened fire on the students at Brown University in Rhode Island on Saturday, December 13.

The university reported that there was an "active shooter" near the Barus and Holley Engineering building and advised the students to remain indoors.

The shooting happened inside a classroom and the gunman is still at large, according to Providence Mayor Brett Smiley, as per news agency Reuters.
