Kolkata, May 4 (PTI) TMC spokesperson Kunal Ghosh won the Beleghata seat in north Kolkata by 28,576 votes on Monday, according to the Election Commission.
Ghosh, a popular face in the Bengali media, defeated
Partha Chaudhury of the BJP.
While the TMC candidate bagged 93,757 votes, the BJP secured 65,181 votes.
The CPI(M) was in third position in the seat, with its candidate Paramita Roy getting 10,525 votes.
