Etawah (UP), Aug 19 (PTI) A 32-year-old man was killed and another person seriously injured after a speeding car rammed into them in Etawah district on Tuesday, police said.
The incident took place on the
Agra-Kanpur six-lane highway near Jagmohanpura village, Station House Officer (SHO) Vikram Singh Chauhan said.
He said Brijesh Kumar (32), a resident of Jagmohanpura, and village head's husband Ramkesh were standing by the roadside when the car hit them.
The impact of the collision was so strong that Kumar was flung several feet into a nearby field, while Ramkesh fell into a roadside ditch, the SHO said.
Kumar died on the spot while Ramkesh sustained serious injuries and was admitted to the district hospital, police said.
